Gregory Hartnell on CRD’s unrealistic utopian $1,000,000,000 ‘landbased sewage treatment’ myth: ‘I promise not to vote for any new unneeded land-based sewage system.’ … Gregory Hartnell’s historic rejection of Georgia Strait Alliance’s plans, pushed by non-accountable CRD bureaucrats dictating to Globalist BC Lib-appointed Oak Bay politicians

Georgia Strait Alliance and the T. Buck Suzuki Environmental Foundation are conducting a survey of municipal candidates in the Capital Regional District’s (CRD) 7 core areas to clarify each candidate’s stance on Victoria’s plan for sewage treatment.

How candidates answer this question will be publicized in advance of the municipal elections with local media, shared with community organizations and made available on the Georgia Strait Alliance website (www.GeorgiaStrait.org), as well as the websites of all three organizations involved.

Please also find attached some information on the sewage treatment issue in the Capital Regional District.
Question:

As a councillor I will support and work positively to ensure a comprehensive secondary or better
sewage treatment system for the CRD core area is built before 2020, and that costs are share between local, provincial and federal governments? (sic)

ROCKLAND WINTER SNOW SCENES BY 'GOYO DE LA ROSA'

GREGORY HARTNELL RESPONDS:
NO, No, no… I disagree!
Hello, Christianne
For many years, I used to accept without investigation the scientifically unfounded ideas that your manipulative group advances and I mistakenly believed that we needed a new improved land-based sewage treatment system, but after reading many more arguments both for and against this issue for many years, I have now come to the opposite conclusion that it would be very foolish indeed to pursue this idea, which should be open to a binding referendum of all electors across the Capitol Regional District, and not pushed through by any non-accountable bureaucracy or corrupted fascist senior governments (CRD and BC Libs).
As a confirmed fiscal conservative, I cannot in good conscience approve of any such wasteful public expenditures not warranted by common sense and prudence, so if elected by the good people of Oak Bay to serve them properly as a District Councillor, I promise not to vote for any new unneeded land-based sewage system.
Therefor, I also encourage all people of common sense in Oak Bay and the rest of the CRD to vote accordingly, that is to say, to reject such nonsense once and for all.

Association for Responsible & Environmentally Sustainable Sewage Treatment

Any needed improvements to the storm drain system in Oak Bay should be governed by the scientific advice of the many eminent scientists in the Responsible Sewage Treatment Victoria group.
My voting pattern as Oak Bay Councillor will always be guided by traditional values of common sense, fiscal conservatism and prudence.
Thanks for seeking my position on this crucial matter of public health and prudent management of the Oak Bay taxpayers’ public interest.
Gregory Hartnell
Independent non-partisan Candidate for Oak Bay District Council

I agree. I love the way you subtly but very cleverly mention “your manipulative group” I had a laugh at that phrase as it is so honest and almost a woody Allen style or even Robin Williams type of delivery. thanks for the laugh. it was creative and informative.

I sent you an email this morning hope you get time to read it it is informative as well.

    have a great day!
