BC Recall and Initiative ActGood News! An initiative is being launched under the BC Recall and Initiative Act to stop the mandatory installation of smart meters in British Columbia.

The executive of Stop Smart Meters has gathered a board of consultants and advisors, and in October 2011, will begin a pre-registration program for British Columbians opposed to the ongoing installation of smart meters.

Richmond Council Meeting – This Tuesday Evening

TUESDAY, October 11, 2011 – 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Richmond City Hall, 6911 No. 3 Road, Richmond, B.C.

A delegation is being brought by Michelle Kwong, Richmond resident, requesting Richmond Mayor and Council vote for a moratorium to halt rollout of wireless smart meters under the Public Health Act, in accordance with the province wide vote for a moratorium recently passed at the Union of BC Municipalities convention. Please come to the Richmond Council Meeting and show your support on this Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. Please let others know their support is welcome at this council meeting.
