Cindy Sheehan and Peace of the Action Strongly Condemn the US-UN resolution for air strikes in Libya

Just hours ago, the UN Security Council led by the US has backed the use of “all necessary measures” against the oil rich country of Libya–including no fly zones. The UN once again proves to be a toady of the hegemon and the globalists who want to drain this planet dry of every drop of crude oil at any and all costs to the native populations of the countries that have the misfortune to be on top of vast reserves of crude oil. With the scandalous excuse of “protecting” civilians, we all know that the US-UN no fly zone and sanctions against Iraq caused the deaths of at least 1.5 million (expendable to the profiteers) Iraqis between the two US invasions.

I am against all forms of violence, but I am especially against the US invading another Arab country at the behest of her controllers.

The United Nations is a failed organization that seems to promote war and inequality by being a rubber-stamp for US violence.

The Mission of the United Nations is as follows:

WE THE PEOPLES OF THE UNITED NATIONS DETERMINED

  • to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind, and
  • to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in the dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small, and
  • to establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained, and
  • to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom
  •

The UN just sanctioned an act of war against the country of Libya.

Shame, shame, shame once again on the US and the UN.

When will it ever end?

Peace is the urgent imperative and it seems like our “leaders”  are criminally insane.

There are actions all over the country for this 8th anniversary of the on-going war on Iraq–one day actions are not enough and they never have been–general strikes, daily civil disobedience from peace camps in DC and refusal to support the crimes of this regime by paying our Federal Income Taxes are just few of the things we can do that may have an impact on policy.

Stay tuned, we obviously can’t stop now!

Peace,

Cindy Sheehan

    Dear Diane:

    Thanks for all your comments.

When Canada is one of the six greatest oil producing nations on the planet, we export oil to our major trading partner every day, we put our men and women at the mercy of Obushama’s imperialistic warmaking plans, and the price of gas at home goes up without reason… there is something seriously wrong with this whole picture.

Canada is completely involved in this scam system which makes our gas prices high at the pump right now when they don’t need to be, and gets us involved in a futile, unjust, illegal and wasteful war, which devalues Canadian sovereignty.

We should nationalize the oil industry in Canada as Mexico has done, make gas really cheap for Canadians, give a special deal to the Americans, and then sell all the rest at fluctuating world market prices.

This three-tiered system would give preference to the people of Canada, second class status to American needs, and let the market rule everything else for export.

Bill Woollam might like this idea, which is a ‘thrid way’ that has elements of socialism for the domestic market in Canada, government- initiated market manipulation for our friends south of the border, and total free market libertarianism for export to the rest of the planet.

We wouldn’t need to go to war anywhere if we asserted ourselves as liberty-loving people.

We could opt out of the Empire!

    PEACE

    Hartnell
