Denise Savoie, Victoria NDP MP, said she occasionally flies business class because she feels it’s fair when she starts work at 5 a. m. for both her duties as an MP and as assistant deputy speaker of the House.

She spent $468,340 in 2008 – 2009.

“I’m conscious that it is public money and I try to not do anything exorbitant in terms of my expenses,” she said.

Not to be too pedantic , but this is the taxpayers money, part of all our revenues, do we need a detailed account or just give a pass… we will decide at the next election, whatever happened to t he senate be abolished , did inertia just get us to give up?
