FIVE RING CIRCUS NIGHTMARE: ‘Could the Olympics undo the global economy?’ asks Mitchell Anderson @ Tyee

‘Perhaps the Olympics themselves have become a financial contagion’

Citing the post-Olympics meltdown of the Greek economy which is threatening the economic stability of the whole of the European Union, Vancouver-based writer Mitchell Anderson wonders whether the Olympics ‘movement’ has now become a threat to the whole interconnected global economy.

Mr. Anderson’s thought-provoking essay in The Tyee entitled ‘Could Olympics Undo Global Economy’ should be read by all those Concerned Citizens who are awaiting the bad news of Gordo’s upcoming provincial budget with baited breath.

When the true facts of the as yet unacknowledged costs of these decadent ‘games’ are finally known, they very likely will have lasting damaging impacts on the provincial and national economies of Canada for decades to come.

Let’s not forget that Montreal Quebec only recently finished paying off its Olympic debt.
