MALCOLM OAKES ON OLYMPIC COSTS: ‘Taxpayers donated $2,860,000 for the communities’ torch relay celebrations’

TORCH RELAY WRONG PRIORITY

A few days ago, with great fanfare, the Olympic torch arrived in B. C. with 27 days to go and 268 communities in B. C. to travel through.

Taxpayers donated $2.86 million for the communities’ torch relay celebrations.

Will the government match our “donations” with a similar contribution of funding to health, surgery, education and anywhere else that cuts have been suffered?
