VICTORIA RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY TAXES TO GO UP ALMOST 5%: Staff in charge of Budget?

It sure looks like the permanent staff at Victoria City Hall are in charge as news comes from that quarter that Victoria City Councillors ‘have been informed’ that Victoria residential property taxes are going up again, almost 5%.

For a video link to a television story about this matter, please refer to the Comments section below.

It seems like ancient history, but it was really only late last year,  not more than three weeks ago, in fact, that Victoria’s spendthrift socialist Mayor Dean Fortin was trying to tell gullible Victoria voters that borrowing a staggering $42,000,000 to demolish and replace the heritage Johnson Street Bridge would not result in increased residential property taxes.

Meanwhile, on one of the local Victoria tv stations, City of Victoria engineer Mike Lai was shamefully scaremongering about the extent of the anticipated damage that would result from an earthquake in Victoria of the magnitude of the recent one in Port-au-Prince.

If anyone could find that link, I would appreciate them sending it to the Comments section below.
