CHAS CANDY ON CANADIAN DEATHS IN AFGHANISTAN: ‘This nation has sacrificed, in vain, the lives of almost 150 people’

Today, we have been informed we lost our nephew in combat in Afghanistan, along with three of his mates and a journalist.

I served in the military of Rhodesia, years ago.

We knew, at least, what we were fighting for — the survival of our nation.

Why are our young men and women dying in a place that has never been at peace?

The British tried, the Russians tried, several times, the Americans, and most recently, we have our brightest and best falling for no tangible reason.

At what point will our Prime Minister accept the fact that this nation has sacrificed, in vain, the lives of almost 150 people in a cause that could only be seen as beneficial to the United States?
