CCC ALERT: VICTORIA CITY COUNCILLOR CANDIDATES’ MEETING TONIGHT,

SAINT ANDREW’S GYMNASIUM, PANDORA + VANCOUVER, 7 PM

I am hoping for a large turn-out tonight, but as I have really had nothing to do with the organizing of it, I decided to check about how it is being publicized.

The City of VICTORIA has it listed on its Calendar of All Candidates’ Meetings, found  in our CCC Blogroll to the right.

The CCC BLOG has numerous references to the event: https://gregoryhartnell.wordpress.com/.

The Conservatory of Music Forum has a letter sent by Gregory Hartnell alerting readers and  Conservatory parents there.

Similarly, a letter was sent by Gregory Hartnell to the Vibrant Victoria website, citing the good work of Joseph Boutilier in setting up the meeting.

However, a quick recent check to Joseph Boutilier’s website reveals no information about the event, which seems odd, in light of the fact that he initiated the organization of it.

An explanation may perhaps be found elsewhere in Joseph Boutilier’s futureisnow.ca website where he mentions supporting Dean Fortin for Mayor.

Mr. Fortin is comfortable allowing existing zoning which enables the City of Victoria and the Vancouver Island Health Authority to place a so-called ‘fixed site needle exchange’ at Our Place, close by Saint Andrew’s Elementary and Preschool, the Conservatory of Music and Christ Church Elementary and Preschool.

Because of the seriousness of these matters, I must hereby announce that knowing what I now know about Joseph Boutilier, and his support for Dean Fortin, I wonder why he is not advertising this event better, why he did not seek to get the help of the Principal, Keefer Pollard to use the back lit sign on Pandora Avenue, and why the parents were apparently not alerted to this important meeting?

I hereby retract any support I may have already given to Joseph Boutilier for a Seat on the Victoria City Council.

I appreciate Joseph Boutilier’s work in the initial organization of this meeting, but denounce his support for the sold-out incumbent Enforcer, Dean Fortin.

Concerned Citizens should not vote for either Joseph Boutilier nor Dean Fortin.
